Natalie has finally given birth to a baby boy! The baby it's believed to have been born on June 6, and if that's so, Natalie, her mom and Benjamin celebrate their birthdays within a week of each other (Nat was born on her mother's 29th birthday).

The baby's name is not known yet but anyway, congrats to the new mom!

There aren't many news going on about Natalie now that she's in the final stages of her pregnancy and she's taking a well-deserved break.

After 'Thor' she's expected to appear in 'The Avengers', where she will star again with her 'The Other Boleyn' sister Scarlett Johansson, but she doesn't have any other upcoming projects coming.

I haven't seen 'Thor' yet but I watched 'No Strings Attached' and 'The Other Woman' but I will talk about it in another post. The pic is a gorgeous promo for Christian Dior parfums, more below:

This is a still of Natalie's upcoming movie 'Hesher' with Joseph Gordon Levitt and the trailer is out!

Plot: The story centers on a loser twentysomething who invades the life of an awkward 13-year-old who is living with a pill-popping father and grandmother.

Natalie is producing this movie and it looks really good, I can't wait to see her starring with JGL with that geek look. The movie opens on May 13 and you can watch the trailer here.

This is a still of Natalie with Chris Hemsworth in her upcoming project 'Thor', that belongs to the Marvel universe of superheroes ('Iron man', 'Captain America'...).

Plot: The Powerful but arrogant warrior Thor is cast out of the fantastic realm of Asgard and sent to live amongst humans on Earth, where he soon becomes one of their finest defenders.

Natalie plays Jane Foster who's defined as a woman of science and other cast includes Anthony Hopkins, Kat Dennings and Stellan Skarsgard. The movie premieres on May 6 and you can watch the trailer here.

Natalie is the new face of the perfume Miss Dior Chérie and the gorgeous ad campaign has already been released. There's also a TV advert which may possibly be directed by Sofia Coppola, as she shot the previous tv ad, but I'm not sure about it.

This week the Academy Awards nominations were announced and Natalie is nominated for Best Actress for her role in 'Black Swan'! The movie is also nominated for Best Picture, Direction, Cinematography and Editing. Natalie said about her nomination:

"I am so honored and grateful to the Academy for this recognition. It is a wonderful culmination of the ten-year journey with Darren to make this film. Making 'Black Swan' is already the most meaningful experience of my career, and the passion shown for the film has completed the process of communication between artists and audience. I am so thankful for the support we have received and I share this honor with the entire cast and crew of the film, especially with Darren Aronofsky".

"No Strings Attached"

Natalie is all over the place promoting "No Strings Attached", and the reviews the film is getting are actually not bad. Natalie is getting prasie for her comedic skills and it looks like the film is quite funny. I think she's got great chemistry with Ashton, and I will be seeing the movie for sure. It is already grossing a lot of money in the US, so it looks like it could be a big Box Office hit.

Double Win

Natalie won last night the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture (Drama) for her performance in Black Swan. She looked truly stunning in a very original Victor & Rolf dress. Her boyfriend and parents were with her and she looked so happy. I'm thrilled that she won, congratulations Natalie!

She also attended a few days ago the Critics' Choice Awards, and won the Best Actress Award. In her acceptace spech, she said:

"You (Darren Aronofsky) made me very skinny, and now you're indirectly responsible for getting me fat," she said, gesturing to her baby bump. "You introduced me to my love, Benjamin Millepied, who also choreographed the film and I am so incredibly grateful for that most special of gifts."

She was referring to the extreme diet she had to follow in order to play a ballerina with serious mental problems and an eating disorder. Now she's happy and healthy and glowing. Good for her!

Natalie attended the 2010 Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala (Jan 8) where she was honored with the Desert Palm Achievement Actress Award. Her good friend Jake Gyllenhaal presented the award to her and she glowed that night wearing Vionnet.

She also attended to the People's Choice Awards (Jan 5) where she presented an award with her 'No Strings Attached' co-star Ashton Kutcher.

Natalie is "The Other Woman"

Natalie filmed "The Other Woman", based on the book by Ayelet Waldman "Love and Other Impossible Pursuits" (which was the previous title of the film), a long time ago. I guess with Black Swan's success, the film is going to be finally released, and here we have the trailer. It looks solid to me, an interesting drama. It is directed by Don Roos ("The Opposite of Sex," "Happy Endings").

Here's the plot: Emilia (Portman) is a Harvard law school graduate who gets involved with Jack (Scott Cohen) a New York lawyer, and her boss. Jack is married and has a son, but he leaves his wife and marries Emilia. Emilia gets pregnant, but her life takes an unexpected turn when she loses her newborn daughter. Emilia struggles to connect with her new stepson William (Charlie Tahan) and to deal with her husband's ex-wife, Carolyn (Lisa Kudrow).

They met during the production of 'Black Swan' as Benjamin is the choreographer and the baby will arrive in 2011.

Natalie has been nominated at the Golden Globes for Best Performance by an Actress in a motion picture drama!

"I'm very honored and to be included in this group of actresses I admire.The experience of filming 'Black Swan with director Darren Aronofsky and our incredible crew is already the most fulfilling experience of my career. The audience appreciation of the film is only furthering how grateful and proud I am to be part of the film."

The other actresses nominated are Halle Berry for 'Frankie and Alice', Nicole Kidman for 'Rabbit Hole', Jennifer Lawrence 'Winter's Bone' and Michelle Williams for 'Blue Valentine'. The awards will be held on January 16 so the best of luck for Natalie.

The movie has opened in the US and is doing pretty well for a limited release and it's also receiving a lot of good reviews and nominations, including Natalie for Best Actress at the Independent Spirit Awards, the Washington DC area film critics, the Satellite Awards and the Gotham Awards which had already been held but she didn't win.

The trailer of 'Your Highness' has been released and it looks damn good, Natalie stars as this bad-ass warrior alongside James Franco and Zooey Deschanel, and the movie looks all sort of fun and crazy, quite a different project for Nat, so that's great.

Nat is the ambassador of the organization that works to provide financial services to low income entrepreneurs worldwide so that they can create jobs for others and improve their living.

Jake and Natalie are close friends and even starred in the movie 'Brothers' together which you should see if you haven't because it's really good. Nat wore a beautiful Dior dress and it's really great to see these two together, love them both.

No Strings Attached

Natalie is starring in the upcoming film "No Strings Attached" with Ashton Kutcher. Ivan Reitman, the director of films such as “Ghostbusters” and “Evolution”, directs the film. Lake Bell, Kevin Klein, Olivia Thirlby and Cary Elwes also appear in the movie. The original title was "Friends with Benefits", but they had to change it because there's another upcoming film with the same name and a similar plot starring Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake. It looks like Hollywood is running out of ideas! The film is about two friends, Emma (Natalie) and Adam (Ashton) who have known each other forever and decide to have casual sex without any commitment or romantic feelings involved. It is certainly something very different for Natalie, since we have never seen her in a romantic comedy. I laughed a lot watching the trailer, but the film looks a little predictable and clichéd. We’ll see how it turns out, but by now you can enjoy the trailer and some very cute pictures.

Natalie attended the 20th Annual Media Awards (Oct. 16) which honors TV shows and films with environmental messages. I wish there were more pics to see her dress at that event because I liked her look and she was so pretty with that headband.

In other news, Nat is rumoured to star in a prequel of the movie 'Alien' even though other actresses like Anne Hathaway are also being considered. What it's for sure is that she won't be starring in 'Pride, Prejudice & Zombies' but she will exec-produce the film and maybe her Boleyn sister Scarlett Johansson will take the role instead, we'll see.

Natalie directed by Tom Tykwer in "Cloud Atlas"?

Natalie attended the 20th Annual Producers Guild Awards in LA at the end of January, and there are some lovely pictures of her at the event. Al Gore also attended the event so you can also see some pictures of her with him.

There's a possible new project for Natalie: an adaptation of the book "Cloud Atlas" (is it me or lately in Hollywood they only do book adaptations?). German director Tom Tykwer will be directing and the Warchowski Brothers producing. Natalie already worked with Tykwer in "True", the short movie that was part of "Paris, Je T'aime", and with the Warchowski Brothers in "V for Vendetta". I'm a fan of Tykwer since I saw "Lola Rennt" ("Run Lola Run" in English), a fantastic movie he directed with Franka Potente. It seems like an interesting project, don't you think? "My Blueberry Nights"

"How do you say goodbye to someone you can't imagine living without?"

I saw "My Blueberry Nights" yesterday and I just LOVED it.

I like Wong Kar Wai's films very much. I loved "In The Mood for Love" and "2046", so I saw "My Blueberry Nights" with high expectations. I was a little afraid because the reviews were very mixed, but I wasn't disappointed at all. It is a beautiful story, filmed even more beautifully with Kar Wai's signature style and colors, and with an excellent cast. Norah Jones is just lovely and the character fits perfectly with her sweet, exotic looks. I have to say that I adore Norah's music, so I can't be completely objective here, but she really does a good job. Jude Law is still a great actor and still dreamy, and the rest of the cast (David Strathairn, Rachel Weisz, Natalie, Frankie Faison...) are all perfect for their characters.

I loved Natalie's performance. She plays a secondary character, but quite important. I loved how she played the tacky, over the top blond poker player. I was very surprised they chose her to play this part, because it's a big change for Natalie, and the role was originally thought for Jodie Foster, but I think she was lucky to get this part because she's able to show there that she's one talented lady that can play much more than just the sweet, beautiful girl next door.

The movie is also great for music fans, since the soundtrack is very cool. A part from Norah Jones, who wrote a song for the movie, the soundtrack includes Cat Power, Amos Lee or Otis Redding. Cat Power's singer has also a small part in the movie as Jude Law's ex girlfriend.

Italian artist Francesco Vezzoli has united two popular actresses that have never been the image of a perfume for his short movie "Greed", a fake perfume add filmed by Roman Polanski. There are some images of the spot and it looks great. It will be exposed in Rome and in Stockholm. I don't know if we'll be able to see it in the internet, or if it will be exposed in more cities than just those two, but by now we can enjoy some pretty cool pictures.

Natalie co-hosted with Ellen Burstyn a special screening of Darren Aronofsky's new movie, "The Wrestler". You can see her in the pictures with two actors that star in the film: Marisa Tomei and Mickey Rourke. It's a shame that Evan Rachel Wood wasn't there, it would be great to have a picture of her and Natalie.

Natalie and Michelle Williams in a fake perfume add

I thought I could post these pictures from Natalie attending the US Open last summer that I haven't posted before. She looked very pretty and it reminds me that, even though I love Christmas, I still miss the summer : )

There are some news concerning Natalie:

"Francesco Vezzoli, the Italian video artist known for his lavish parodies, has a new project: a faux perfume ad starring Natalie Portman and Michelle Williams, filmed by Roman Polanski. It’ll debut in February at the Gagosian Gallery in Rome. “Lately the art world has become a place where there is a lot of effort to create desire, so I thought Greed”—the name of the scent—“was an appropriate theme,” Vezzoli says. He recruited Portman and Williams because they’re “two A-list celebrities who have never endorsed a perfume,” he explains. “Natalie plays the good girl and Michelle plays the greedy one, and they start having a catfight over the perfume. They bite each other, pull each other’s hair, throw themselves on the floor, and all of that is filmed by Polanski in his epitomizing style."

What do you think? It's definitively something new for Natalie and it never hurts to get to work with Polanski and the lovely Michelle Williams. I hope we can get to see the work of this artist in other cities too.

People keep asking about "Brothers". I'll post some news and pictures as soon as they appear, but right now there's nothing. I'm not very excited about this project though, mainly because it's a remake. I don't get why you have to do again something that has already been done (and well done).

Natalie for Vanity Fair Italia

About "Eve", it screened at the Stockholm International Film Festival in the short film competition. It didn't win, but the reviews are still very positive. It still has no release date, but since it's a short film, I hope we can watch it soon in the internet.

Premiere of "Birdwatchers - La Terra Degli Uomini Rossi" at the Venice Film Festival

Back in September Natalie attended the Venice Film Festival, where her debut as a director, the short movie "Eve", premiered. She also attended some other premieres, as it usually happens in this kind of festivals.

Natalie wore a Rodarte dress at the premiere of "Birdwatchers - La Terra Degli Uomini Rossi". I personally think she looked very beautiful and very chic. The make up is natural and makes her skin shine, the hair was perfect and the shoes from her own line match perfectly with the black dress.

I'm generally not a big fan of her style lately, though. She wears a lot of hip, haute couture stuff and risks a lot more than she used to. I'm a conservative dresser and I preferred when she had a more classic style and wore georgeous Zac Posen and Armani dresses.

What do you think? Do you think she looked beautiful or so-so?

Filming "Love and Other Impossible Pursuits"

There's A BUNCH of pictures of Natalie filming "Love and Other Impossible Pursuits" in New York. I'm just going to post some of them because there's no need to see every scene of the movie before it comes out, right? Those paparazzi just spoil all the mystery : ) Natalie looks very pretty and chic in all the scenes and she has a more grownup look than what we are used to from her.

"Eve"

"Eve" is one of the two short movies Natalie has directed. The other one will be part of "New York, I Love You", and there isn't much information about it. She will also appear in "New York, I Love You" as an actress in another short movie directed by Mira Nair.

"Eve" premiered and the Venice Film Festival and it was very well received. It is 21 minutes long and it stars Lauren Bacall, Ben Gazzara, Olivia Thirlby and Rich Delia. Filming "Love and Other Impossible Pursuits"

Natalie is currently in New York filming "Love and Other Impossible Pursuits", her new project. The synopsis according to imdb is:

"Aspiring Lawyer Emilia Greenleaf (Natalie Portman) thought she knew what she wanted when she went after the sexy, married Senior Partner, Jack Woolf (Scott Cohen) . However, she didn't count on getting pregnant and married, and she certainly didn't plan on having to forge a relationship with her highly strung 5 year old stepson, William.."

The director is Don Ross. He isn't very well known, but I'm quite a fan of his work. He directed "The Opposite of Sex" (one of my favorites!) with Christina Ricci, Lisa Kudrow and Martin Donovan and "Happy Endings" with Maggie Gyllenhaal, again Lisa Kudrow and Jesse Bradford. He has also written the upcoming "Marley & Me", for example.

Natalie appeared at Letterman yesterday night and the interview was very nice, more fun that the previous one and very relaxed. She looked stunning and very elegant, and you know that I don't normally like Natalie's choices.

This is the 13th appearance of Natalie on the show. They talked about their voting experiences, about her new dog and about how she's "homeless" now because she's leaving with her parent's again. She left NYC to go to life to LA with Devendra but they're not together anymore so I guess she's back to NYC. After a lot of thinking, I decided to come back! I got a little tired of it, to be honest, but I thought I had to try it again.

I will concentrate on Natalie's work and charities, not on her private life. I would love it if people would really comment and read what I post, since I'm not a crazy, die-hard Natalie fan, but a person who admires her work as an actress and as a public person. I will upload as much as I can but I can't promise anything since I don't have much time.

I wanted to say hi to the people behind my favorite flogs (and blogs) (/miss_scarlett, /beautiful__keira, /i_heart_sofia, /rockinkate, /evanrachwood...). I love them and I've been checking them out this whole time, even if I haven't been uploading.

Natalie was a guest at The Late Show with David Letterman and she arrived looking this pretty with her new companion. You know how Natalie loves animals (she's a vegan) and how much she loved Charile, her former furry friend (she created HandsomeCharile films, her producing company, after him). Remember that years ago, we got to meet Charile in an interview with Letterman when she was promoting Garden State.

The show will air on Friday and I'm not sure what is she promoting.

Natalie on "Project Runaway"

Hi everyone! I finally decided to start again with the fotolog and the blog, I actually was going to leave everything to somebody else, but I decided that I would go on, at least for a while, and then I'll see. These pictures are from Natalie being a guest member of the jury of the TV show “Project Runaway”, a US reality show, presented by Heidi Klum, in which the contestants are fashion designers. To be honest, I really can’t stand reality shows, but this one at least doesn’t seem that bad. Natalie has said several times that she’s a fan of the show, and this one was about the use of ecological materials in fashion, so oh well. Designer Michael Kors, who is a permanent member of the jury (I think), had some nice things to say about Nat:

"So, the eco-challenge. Guest Judge Natalie Portman is a good style icon. I think the interesting thing about Natalie, first off, in today's world to find the balance of someone who's stylish and very chic and very smart, all at a young age. And able to really express herself about everything, including fashion. I thought she was really a fabulous addition to our pantheon of guest judges. And also particularly in this instance to talk about eco-fashion, which I think for her is very, very personal, but she's one of those girls she doesn't want to give up being stylish. So, she wants the best of both worlds, so I think she was really a great addition and I think this is something that I as a designer and everyone as designers right now is dealing with. How do we make something that is dealing with eco-friendly fabrics without it making you look like Johnny Appleseed?"

So what do you think about Devendra? Some friends so mine are big fans of his music, and even one of them has seen him playing live. The guy does some really interesting stuff and he's also completely crazy. Some friends say that he seems to be always high on something. To me he looks clean (from drugs, I mean), and they look so happy together. I'm really starting to really like him, he's such an interesting weirdo!

Back in the summer I posted some pictures (in my flotolog) from Glamour Magazine (photographed by Patric Shaw) that were totally georgeous.

There are some new pictures from that session and they're fantastic. I'll post the ones missing tomorrow. The guy she's with is Mark Townsend, her hairdresser ; ) I love how fun and sweet she looks in all of them.

amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS 2008 benefit

Natalie attended at the amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS 2008 benefit held at Cannes. She wore a white Gyvenchy, that most of you considered your favourite. I prefered the purple Lanvin, the Chanel she wore at the Indy premiere and the dress she wore at the closing ceremony with stripes. My best favourite, though, was her look at the Dolce & Gabbana party, with a Lanvin jacket and Balmain dress.
